Profile
Since its establishment in 1969, ETC has been a leader in the industrial sterilization industry, specializing in the design and manufacturing of Ethylene Oxide, and Steam Sterilizers (Sterilisers). Over the years, we have built a reputation for delivering some of the most sophisticated and largest EO sterilizers in the world. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction has positioned us as a trusted partner for industries requiring reliable sterilization solutions for contract sterilization, pharmaceutical, medical device and research markets.
Comprehensive EO Sterilization Solutions
ETC offers a wide array of EO sterilization systems and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our expertise extends beyond just manufacturing sterilizers; we provide and integrate automation systems, pallet conveyance systems, preconditioning and aeration rooms/cells to optimize your sterilization processes. Our goal is to deliver turnkey solutions that ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Decades of Technical Expertise
With over five decades of experience, ETC has amassed rich technical resources and expertise in designing, manufacturing, testing, and installing complete EO sterilization systems. Each sterilizer we produce is fully factory-tested and accompanied by comprehensive documentation to support site validation efforts. This meticulous approach ensures that our clients receive reliable and high-performing sterilization systems.
Advanced Pressure Vessel Technology
Our pressure vessel technology is at the core of our EO sterilization systems. We maintain an ASME certified weld shop, allowing us to produce vessels with the highest standards of quality and safety. Here are some key features of our pressure vessel technology:- Vessel Sizes: From 53 ft³ to 6,000 ft³, we offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate various sterilization needs.
- Certification and Stamping: Our vessels are ASME-PVHO certified and stamped, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards.
- Construction Materials: Our vessels are constructed using high-quality stainless steel (S/S) for durability and longevity.
- Wide Range of Finishes: We provide a variety of finishes to meet specific aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Mounting Options: Our sterilizers can be floor or pit mounted, providing flexibility in installation.
- Warranty: Enjoy peace of mind with our standard 15-year vessel warranty (air jacketed, water jackets must be SS).
- Sectional Chambers: For added convenience, we offer sectional chambers to meet unique operational needs. This eliminates, or minimizes, the need to modify structural components of the building when installing the new autoclave.
Rigorous Testing and Quality Assurance
All ETC sterilizers undergo comprehensive in-house testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Our testing procedures include:- ASME Hydro Testing: Verifies the structural integrity of pressure vessels.
- Vacuum Leak Testing: Ensures the system’s ability to maintain a vacuum.
- Vacuum Performance Testing: Assesses the efficiency of the vacuum system.
- Pressure Leak Testing: Detects any potential leaks under pressure.
- Complete I/O Verification: Confirms all input and output functions are operational.
- Temperature Distribution & Wall Map Testing: Conducted in accordance with ISO 11135 standards.
- Door Operational Test: Ensures smooth and reliable door operation.
- Operational System Testing: Verifies the overall functionality of the system.
Innovative Door Designs
ETC offers three unique door designs as standard configurations, providing flexibility and cost savings by eliminating the need for custom designs. Our door options include:- Vertical Rising Door: Ideal for new constructions with available interstitial mechanical space. Features smooth and quiet operation, minimal mechanical parts, and requires less square footage and a smaller pit than horizontal sliding doors.
- Roller Locking Hinged Door: The oldest and most proven design, featuring positive mechanical locking, smooth and quiet operation, and the smallest pit requirement. It is ideal for facilities where loads cannot be staged in front of the door.
- Horizontal Sliding Door: Suitable for both existing and new constructions with adjacent space. Offers smooth and quiet operation, requires the largest square footage and a larger pit, but allows for load staging in front of the door.
Air Jacketed System: A Premier Innovation
One of ETC’s most notable innovations is our air jacketed heating system, which offers significant advantages over traditional hot water jacket systems, which can be available upon request. Our closed-loop hot air system uniformly blankets the chamber and doors, ensuring efficient heating and temperature uniformity to meet ISO 11135 requirements. Key benefits of our air jacketed system include:- Energy Efficiency: Significantly reduces energy costs compared to hot water systems.
- Maintenance Advantages: Eliminates corrosion and maintenance concerns associated with water-jacketed systems.
- Leak Management: Small air leaks are easily repaired without affecting performance, unlike water leaks which pose operational hazards.
- Weight and Installation: Lighter than water-jacketed systems, facilitating easier installation and reduced shipping costs.
- Heating and Cooling Flexibility: Capable of controlling temperatures within the range of 80 – 150°F for various EO cycle requirements.
Robust Control Systems
ETC’s control systems are designed to replicate any sterilization process, making them ideal for contract sterilization facilities and medical manufacturers. We offer a range of control options, from full SCADA systems with PC-based HMI and advanced reporting capabilities to Panel View HMI systems with thermal printers. Our control systems are built to meet your specific needs, ensuring precise and reliable operation.
Cost-Effective Design
ETC’s flexible design options eliminate the added costs associated with custom designs. Our standard configurations are designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Let us assist you in selecting the most ideal unit for your unique requirements.
