Inspired Energy, LLC. is a privately-owned company located in the town of Newberry just west of Gainesville Florida, USA. We specialize in the design, development, tooling, certification, and production of portable power electronic products and systems. Our expertise covers electronics design, battery and charger design, circuit board manufacturing, plastic injection molding, and battery pack assembly. As a USA based manufacturer of battery and charger products, all design and manufacturing processes occur at our north-central Florida facility.

Off-the-shelf products to fully customized solutions

Smart Battery packs for Medical Equipment

Smart batteries incorporate electronics to communicate (SMBus) with its host device, enabling protection, monitoring, and control of all operational aspects. The advanced electronics of the battery management system (BMS) within a smart battery pack, maximize energy density and cycle life, ensuring optimal performance of all cells within the pack. Additionally, the integrated electronics offer highly accurate fuel gauging and can report critical information about the battery’s state of health. Within medical equipment, smart lithium battery packs play a critical role in device function, optimal performance, and enhanced safety.

Modifications and services offered for off-the-shelf products

In most applications, off-the-shelf products are sufficient, however within some markets, whether it be for marketing purposes or prevention of counterfeit product used within a device, OEMs need modifications to products. Within professionally used devices, modifications are often made to the battery’s firmware for performance and safety reasons. For minimal non-reoccurring engineering (NRE) fees, our standard products can be modified to your needs through labeling, firmware, and aftermarket sales support.

Design to exceed agency safety approvals

All Inspired Energy battery packs are designed to meet or exceed IEC 62133-2 test standards. While there are mandatory testing requirements for lithium ion battery packs, agency approval is only necessary if the device containing the batteries requires it, or if the country where the device is sold mandates such approval. All standard battery packs are tested and marked for compliance of UN DOT 38.3, FCC, CE & UKCA. We manufacture agency-approved & non-approved versions of many of our battery packs.
