Laubscher is a Swiss contract manufacturer and a trusted partner in the field of machined metal and polymer components for the medical device industry.

We are specialised in high precision miniature parts with a strong focus on turned components ranging from Ø 0.15mm to Ø 42mm. Our focus lies on high accuracy components and systems for interventional cardiology, robotic surgery, orthopaedics, vascular surgery, hearing aids and drug delivery devices.

Diverse manufacturing capabilities under one roof

To match our customers’ demands for highly complex part geometries, we also master milling operations in the same dimension range. Laubscher covers a large spectrum of manufacturing processes under one roof. Our highly skilled workforce has extensive expertise and experience in turning, micro turning, milling and mill-turning as well as in a variety of post-processes such as surface treatment, heat treatment, cleaning, assembly and packaging. Furthermore, we can count on a well-established network of sub-suppliers to complement our capabilities.

From prototyping to high volume production

On the way from prototyping to industrialization, we foster the strength of collaboration between our engineering team and our customers. As a full-service provider, we partner up with our customers as early in the project as possible. We accompany the design phase and prototyping and take the lead in process development, pre-series and industrialisation.

We perform correction loops swiftly when iterations are required and tailor our manufacturing strategies to meet every component-specific need.

We are keen on sharing our vast experience in machining with our customers and we support them with Engineering services and Project Management. We at Laubscher always keep project timelines under control and our short lead times contribute significantly to our customers’ success. Laubscher has always been a precursor in quality assurance and standardization and was one of the first manufacturers to introduce the ISO 9002 standard at its emergence in the 1980s.

Today, Laubscher is certified ISO 9001:2015 for quality management systems, ISO 13485:2016 for medical devices and ISO 14000 for environmental management. With the help of our EcoVadis Scorecard, we are constantly monitoring our ESG rating and our sustainability performance.
