PTFE Liners for Catheters

Catheters with PTFE liners are those with a thin coating of the material on their surface. This layer of medical PTFE helps improve a catheter’s function while protecting patients. PTFE Tubing For Medical Devices

Medical-grade PTFE tubing is ideal for infusion pumps and related drug delivery systems because of the polymer’s chemical resistance capabilities, as well. PTFE’s inertness makes it easy for medical professionals to use, clean, and disinfect, and the tubing also has the ability to withstand temperatures up to 500° F. Braid & Coil Wire for the Medical Device Industry

These products are used for a variety of applications in the medical industry where tight tolerance and precision winding are critical. At Micro-Tek Corporation, we manufacture these products to various tensile specifications using premium alloys that feature uniform mechanical properties.

For these products, 304 VMSS and 316SS wire are typically used due to their physical properties and high purity. Other alloys can be specified.
Standard tolerances for flat wire products are ±0.001″ for the width and ±.0005″ for the thickness; when indicated, the critical dimension tolerance can be held as tight as ±0.0002”. Round wire OD tolerance is ±0.0001. Micro-tek also offers multi-end round wire configurations. Comprehensive testing is performed to verify tensile strength and elongation. Customers can specify winding tension, lengths per bobbin and color coding.

At Micro-Tek, we have the capability to manufacture over 4 million feet per month, and we have been doing so since 1998. Considering the fact that this flat wire is used worldwide, our medical industry customers take great comfort in the knowledge that both the size of the order and ranges of roundness or flatness are completely customizable with a blanket order.
