Transforming Contract Manufacturing Through Advanced Technology
Pulse Technologies is a leading manufacturer of tight tolerance components for medical, industrial and aerospace/defense applications. Privately owned since 1993, industry leaders have relied upon Pulse’s expertise in design for manufacturability, product development, and production of exceptional quality to meet their ever-changing needs.
Paired alongside an assortment of machining capabilities, Pulse’s robust R&D team also offers a variety of proprietary advanced technological solutions to provide organizations with a unique and competitive market advantage.
Built on a foundation of Advanced Manufacturing Capability
For over 25 years Pulse’s multi-dimensional team of engineers, machine operators, quality specialists and production planning professionals have been able to deliver medical device components and assemblies at unparalleled speed, quality and cost. With over 40+ swiss screw machines, 25+ multi-axis machining centers, 15+ Electrical discharge machining units and an in-house tool making area, tight tolerancing and complex geometries are no match for the advanced manufacturing capabilities and techniques Pulse Technologies has to offer.
By also emphasizing lean manufacturing techniques, process control methodology and both in-process and final bench testing, Pulse has the expertise to satisfy the needs of oft demanding, highly regulated industries.
Advanced Technologies for unparalleled performance
Never short on innovation, Pulses’ team of R&D professionals work tirelessly to discover and develop novel technologies and applications. We work hand-in-hand with customers from scope discussion, to final delivery and scalability in order to present the maximum benefit possible for products.
Our established suite of patented advanced surface technologies such as Hierarchical Surface Restructuring (HSR™) and PVD coatings offers exceptional electrochemical performance enhancement for devices in the cardiac rhythm management (CRM), neurostimulation, cochlear, and electrophysiology segments.
Additionally, Pulses refined understanding of advanced precision machining enables the achievement of sub three-micron dimensional control. Proprietary technologies also allow us the ability to produce a “scratch free” surface finish measuring less than 3 Ra.
Value Added Capabilities
In alignment with our machining and technological capabilities, Pulse also offers a variety of value-added supplemental services. With an assortment of equipment including spot and CNC welders to suit various applications and weld almost any metal, In-house anodization/passivation systems allowing us to modify metal surfaces for visual and corrosion resistant purposes, media blasting and tumbling services available for burr removal, uniform finishing and material adherence augmentation and laser marking machines to provide traceability markings and confirmation markings to international or localized standards, Pulse prides itself in having the equipment and capability necessary to transform raw material all the way to finished product.
Uncompromising Quality
At Pulse we abide by a strict mantra, “quality in everything we do”. our engineering supports it, our employees uphold it and our machines measure and test it. Our commitment to quality includes real-time statistical process control, as well as lean manufacturing initiatives to streamline our supply chain, including dock-to-stock and Kanban consignment.
We also run a fully equipped metallurgy and metrology (M&M) lab with world-class gauges, fixtures and machines, including contact and optical coordinate measuring machines, scanning electron microscopes, energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) systems and laser micrometers. This lab enables us to perform in-house tensile, electromechanical and corrosion tests, ensuring your medical components comply to the strictest of quality standards.
We continually review our design, manufacturing and testing processes, validating them against best practices and according to ISO standards. We are an ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D and ISO 13485:2016 accredited facility.
