Fresenius is a global healthcare group that provides products and services to the dialysis, hospital, and outpatient medical sectors. The Company predominantly provides dialysis care and related services to persons suffering from end-stage renal disease (ESRD), along with other healthcare services. A variety of health care products is developed and manufactured by the company, including dialysis equipment and other non-dialysis products. 

Dialysis equipment manufactured by the company includes haemodialysis machines, peritoneal cyclers, peritoneal solutions and granulates, bloodlines, renal pharmaceutical products and water treatment systems. Other non-dialysis products that the company offers are acute cardiopulmonary and apheresis products. The company markets dialysis products to other dialysis service providers and supplies a variety of dialysis products to its owned, operated or managed dialysis clinics.

Fresenius Medical Care, Fresenius Kabi, Fresenius Helios, Fresenius Vamed, and Corporate and Other are the four segments which comprise the company.

Products and services offered by Fresenius Medical Care are geared towards patients suffering from chronic kidney failure. A key component of this segment is the provision of dialysis equipment, such as dialysis and haemodialysis machines, as well as related disposable products. Through its Kabi segment, Fresenius provides IV drugs, such as intravenously administered generic drugs for oncology, anaesthetics, analgesics, anti-infection, and critical care. 

It also supplies parenteral and enteral nutrition products; infusion solutions and blood volume alternatives for infusion therapy; biosimilars, a biological medicine for autoimmune diseases and oncology, as well as medical devices and disposable tools used to administer IV generic drugs, on top of clinical nutrition products and various infusion therapies. It also manufactures transfusion products for the collection of blood components and corporeal therapies. The Fresenius Helios segment is affiliated with private hospital performance, and operates within 89 hospitals, around 130 outpatient clinics, and 6 prevention centres in Germany, as well as 46 hospitals, 70 outpatient clinics, and roughly 300 risk prevention centres in Spain. Among the services provided by the Vamed segment are project management for hospitals and other health care services. Management services include project consultation and development, turnkey construction, maintenance, technical management, and operational management.

The 6008 CAREsystem is a hemodialysis therapy system for patients with end-stage renal disease. It has a number of innovations that utilize cutting-edge technology to improve dialysis therapy for those with chronic kidney failure. As part of the simplified design, the 6008 CAREset includes all treatment modalities in one single case. In addition, a reduction in handling steps and risk-related processes gives caregivers more time to devote to direct patient care. The 6008 CAREsystem consists of the hemodialysis system 6008 and the associated 6008 CAREset.

4008S classix

The Fresenius 4008S Classix is a hemodialysis machine. It has a comprehensive design and straightforward operating structure, making it simple to use, as well as being fast and intuitively programmable. The 10.4″ TFT-LCD monitor displays treatment values graphically, providing easy comprehension of ongoing treatment and along with an overview of the treatment history. It also integrates with the Blood Pressure Monitor (BPM), further simplifying handling for the therapy provider.
