As a manufacturer and marketer of precision machineries, Olympus Corporation sells its products worldwide. There are five business segments within the company: Endoscopic Solutions Business, Therapeutic Solutions Business, Scientific Solutions Business, Imaging Business, and Other Business.

The Endoscopic Solutions Business division offers gastroenterological and surgical endoscopes, video and other endoscope systems, and repair services, as well as other products. The Therapeutic Solutions Division provides products in the areas of urology, gynaecology, otology, and ear, nose, and throat. It also offers endo-therapy devices for energy therapy as well as surgical single-use devices. The Scientific Solutions Business segment of Olympus provides biological and industrial microscopes, industrial endoscopes and videoscopes, non-destructive equipment for testing, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and analyzers. Digital cameras, IC and voice recorders, as well as mirrorless interchangeable lenses are all part of the Imaging Business segment.

As part of the Others segment, biomedical materials are offered. In addition to medical devices, the company offers systems integration and maintenance services, as well as endoscope reprocessors, electrosurgical devices, and gastroenterology and respiratory endotherapy equipment. Additionally, Olympus manufactures endoscopic and ultrasound equipment as well as electrocautery equipment, endotherapy equipment, and cleaning and disinfection equipment.

Olympus also developed and manufactured the first flexible endoscope in the world. From its inception, the company has been a manufacturer of microscopes and optics for medical use, and offers a wide range, which cover educational applications and routine studies through to state of the art research imaging systems, in both life science and materials science. In addition to providing a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options for a variety of diseases, Olympus also offers a comprehensive line-up of minimally invasive therapy solutions.

Laparoscopic Pump LP100

With an integrated vacuum pump, the LP100 combines irrigation and suction functions in one device, making it the device of choice for minimally invasive surgeries. Additionally, it provides full flexibility, as it is possible to combine irrigation with integrated suction, or wall suction. A suction and irrigation volume of up to 2 liters per minute enables a clear view during the operation. Based on RFID technology, the system also provides greater safety during treatment by ensuring that a new irrigation tube is used for each patient.

OTV-S400 VISERA 4K UHD Camera Control Unit

The VISERA 4K UHD camera control unit OTV-S400 provides high-quality 4K image processing with improved operability. It incorporates a user-friendly touch panel for full control without procedural interruptions. Improved operability means that logging registrations and loading user presets happens faster. A 4K display will allow Olympus to significantly improve the visibility of laparoscopic surgery when compared to open surgery through enhanced device features such as Ultra High Definition, Wider Color Gamut, and Magnified Visualization.
