PX Group Press Release
Tubes for Mini-Motors and Mini-Pumps
PX Group offers a wide range of custom-made tubes, from round to complex shapes, in numerous high precision metal alloys. Designed for high rotation speed and particularly suitable for dialysis devices and respiratory aid equipment, our tubes for mini-motors and mini-pumps are cut into pieces that form the housing of those products.
We have control of the entire value chain, from raw material sourcing to the finished part, to ensure the highest precision and quality. These products are obtained by cold drawing, which ensures high dimensional stability, a clean surface finish and improved mechanical properties for all welded or seamless tubes.
Applications of mini-motors and mini-pumps
- Linear motion technology
- Medical (medical devices and endoscopy)
- Industry (measuring devices, inductive sensors, bar turning and automation)
Key features
Our tubes are cut into parts that form the body of mini-motors and mini-pumps, designed for high rotational speed and particularly suitable for miniature devices used in a wide range of fields. Their key features include:
- Extreme dimensional accuracy
- Ultra-precise inside/outside diameters (tolerances ≤ ±0.02 mm)
- Minimum wall thickness (from 0.1 mm) for maximum compactness
- Perfect straightness to avoid vibration at high speeds
- CNC-turned cutout for perpendicularity and runout of less than 0.05mm, guaranteeing excellent motor sealing.
- Compatible with ceramic or ball bearings for extended life of the mini-motor’s mechanical assembly.
- Adapted to medical requirements
Alloys Used to Produce mini-motors and mini-pumps
Here are some of the most commonly alloys used for those products, carefully transformed within PX Group:
- Standard stainless steel: AISI 304 & AISI 316L.
- Alloys for bar turning: 316L PX
- Other alloys: Phynox, 317L, 904L, Mumetal, Nanoflex, Inconel 600
Advantages over standard solutions
- Longer service life thanks to increased wear resistance
- Compatibility with aggressive fluids (blood, solvents, drugs)
- Reduced noise pollution even at very high speeds
- Lightweight and dimensionally stable under stress/vibration
Excellent resistance to temperature and sterile environments compared with aluminum and plastics.
