RTP Company Press Release
RTP Company To Showcase Innovative Thermoplastic Technologies At MD&M Midwest
RTP Company, a leading global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics, will feature its portfolio of industry-leading engineered thermoplastic compounds at the upcoming MD&M Midwest exhibition in Minneapolis from 28-29 October. Attendees are invited to consult with RTP Company experts in booth #2903.
RTP Company will highlight a diverse selection of thermoplastic compounds for the medical market, including:
- Thermoplastic Technologies for Surgical Robotic Systems, with special properties such as strength, flame retardance, wear/chemical/impact resistance, color, and the ability to withstand sterilization methods. If required, biocompatibility support can be provided for many of these compounds. These materials are used for robotic systems and housings; monitor components like housings, bezels, bases, and tool holders; reusable instruments such as cannulas, trocar housings, grasper tips and endo ports; single-use tools such as surgical forceps, shears, tweezers and tool housings; and medical staplers.
- Color Compounds for Home and Single-Use Devices formulated to pass initial bio-compatibility testing, enhance branding opportunities, and be laser marked to meet FDA Unique Identification System regulations.
- The RTP 2000 HC Series for Hospital Equipment, a select group of proprietary alloys that are formulated for the design and manufacture of hospital equipment and plastic housings that require frequent disinfection. These unique materials offer superior resistance to the damage, cracking, and premature failure caused by harsh cleaners and disinfectants. Equipment such as mobile sonar and x-ray machines, enteral feeding devices, drug pumps, blood filtration, and other frequently cleaned apparatus are ideal applications for RTP 2000 HC alloy technology.
- Structural Compounds for Mobile Medical Equipment that provide strength, durability, chemical resistance and aesthetic advantages for hospital beds, wheelchairs, and mobile equipment like ultrasound and diagnostic machines.
