Successful Scaling as CMO
WAREMA Establishes Itself as a CMO in the Pharmaceutical Industry. With the commissioning of a second ISO 7 cleanroom, WAREMA has reached a significant milestone and positioned itself as a reliable contract manufacturer of plastic components for the pharmaceutical industry.
Equipped with ten tie-bar-less, fully electric injection molding machines from ENGEL, the company has increased its annual production capacity of high-precision components for leading companies in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors from 100,000 to around 700 million units.
The main product: a closure system for prefilled syringes – so-called two-component Luer lock systems, manufactured using 32-cavity molds. These connection elements are essential in medical technology and require the highest level of precision while enabling high-volume production.
In addition to state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and the highest precision, WAREMA’s long-standing expertise and exceptional flexibility in the development and production of sophisticated plastic components were decisive success factors that enabled the company to convince its clients.
Today, with 470 employees, the WAREMA Kunststofftechnik und Maschinenbau GmbH, founded 33 years ago, continues to pursue its growth strategy in the Medical Technology business unit – with a clear commitment to investing in its development and production site in Germany.
