Pulse Technologies Products & Solutions
Precision Machining Services
For 25+ years Pulse has relied on its foundation of CNC swiss screw machining, milling and electrical discharge machining (EDM) capabilities to produce high-volume, quality medical device components and assemblies at competitive prices. Our talented team of machinists and technicians work inside our world-class facility, delivering speed, quality and innovation with every product—no matter how precise, intricate or complex. We also make it our priority to stay on top of the latest machining technologies and work alongside machine and tool manufacturers to provide input for the next generation of machines.
Our CNC Swiss Screw Machining cell boasts up to 13-axis micromachining capabilities able to consistently produce outside diameters as small as .012”, small hole diameters of .006” and thin wall features at .0015”. Supplementary disciplines such as thread whirling and contour milling support our commitment to refining our already advanced understanding of these multi-spindle machines capable of producing unrelenting volumes.
Additionally, our expert milling capabilities extend to precise and complex micro-geometries. This includes small, intricate part and feature machining on 3 to 5 axis machines. We utilize high-capacity multi-pallet mill and mill-turn machines resulting in 7 axis functionalities. By employing our extensive knowledge and understanding of these platforms, we are dependably able to hold tolerances and positions of .0002”. We often integrate our milling disciplines with part assembly for a fast, controlled production process.
To round out our machining capabilities, Pulse offers Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) for precious metals, titanium and stainless steel, utilizing both wire and RAM machines as part of our streamlined, multi-operation process. With wire diameters of .002” to .012”, we are able to repeatedly hold tolerances to a .0001-inch standard. This technology allows us to produce burr-free slots and surface finishes as low as 4 microns. We accompany these capabilities with a RAM EDM machine, granting us the ability to lower our small hole diameter tolerances to 0.004 inch.
At Pulse we are dedicated to finding the optimal equipment for each unique project. Each year Pulse dedicates a large portion of its profits to capital equipment acquisition, showing our dedication to remaining a key machining partner into the future.
