Valves and mechatronics for Medical Devices
Embedded in the RAPA group of companies, a globally recognized engineering and technology partner as well as first-choice supplier of valves and total mechatronic solutions for diversified markets, these include media separated valves, proportional valves, high precision pressure regulators and micropumps for Medical Devices. RAPA Healthcare relies on synergy effects and the group’s extensive resources and infrastructures. Technology includes, media separated solenoid valves, electromagnetic switch valves, stainless steel micro pump with piezos for Medical Devices.
Our Service Offer:
RAPA Healthcare takes a holistic approach that can start very early with expert advice and ideally continue with series production and product lifecycle support.
The teams of engineers and technicians specialize in the development of valve technology components and mechatronic systems, and are skilled in implementing demanding specifications for advanced customer products. Once development is complete, RAPA Healthcare relies on in-house manufacturing to guarantee its partners consistent high quality, long product availability and rapid change management in series production. In any case, the customer gets solutions highly adapted to the task at hand, compromises in performance and quality are avoided by the holistic approach. RAPA Healthcare’s most successful products include media-separated switching valves for dialysis and hydraulic valves for precise control in patient positioning systems. There is development and production expertise for all subsectors of laboratory and medical technology.
The way we work
With the extensive in-house simulation capabilities, RAPA Healthcare has perfect possibilities to develop optimized products and systems for the customers. FEM/FEA based methods for all physical domains, structural mechanics and heat distribution, electromagnetics up to fluid mechanics are among the tools that can be used for all projects. In the company’s own laboratories, comprehensive test benches for fluidics and hydraulics, some of which have been specially developed for customer applications, are used for testing. Developers there have access to extensive analysis facilities such as 3D component measurements, micrograph modeling, measurements in the acoustics laboratory, aging tests, environmental simulations and endurance test rigs. To ensure that the quality of development continues seamlessly into production, the purchasing department accompanies development from the very beginning, advises the developers, and points out possible problems later on during procurement.
Modern production standards and logistics models
In our modern production and storage facilities, we are able to meet high cleanliness requirements to manufacture and store sophisticated components. Our custom-fit packaging concepts enable us to ensure this cleanliness during delivery as well. Individual customer requirements can be taken into account at any time. Self-organized hall teams enable a smooth supply chain and thus guarantee reliable customer supply.
Quality through standards and processes
Through additional certification DIN EN ISO 13485, RAPA Healthcare is now also a reliable partner for customers with requirements for higher medical device risk classes. This makes it even easier to run the complete process chain of development, testing, procurement and production in compliance with MDR. Of course, quality is always dependent on the quality of the individual parts. For this reason, RAPA Healthcare uses audits to monitor not only its own production, but also that of its suppliers, if necessary.
Customers and research partners
Renowned companies trust the RAPA Group as a system supplier and work together in long-standing, close and trusting partnerships.
New at RAPA Healthcare is the cooperation with the Fraunhofer EMFT Institute. Here RAPA Healthcare takes over the further development and industrialization of a stainless steel micropump with piezo drive, which can be used, for example, as a dosing actuator for drug dosing.
