HT Medical Devices at COMPAMED and MEDICA 2024

From November 11 to 14, 2024, the city of Düsseldorf, Germany, hosted the highly anticipated MEDICA and COMPAMED exhibitions, where the latest advancements in healthcare, medical technology, and pharmaceutical manufacturing took center stage. With over 5,800 exhibitors from 72 countries and over 80,000 trade visitors from 165 nations, the event reaffirmed its position as the world’s leading platform for medical innovation. The team at HT Medical Devices was once again in attendance, where it gave the opportunity to meet companies and decision makers all under one roof.

MEDICA, the world’s largest medical trade fair, and COMPAMED, a specialized trade fair for medical technology suppliers, together created an unparalleled space for professionals from across the healthcare industry. The event was a unique opportunity for exhibitors to showcase cutting-edge products, share expertise, and collaborate on solutions to address the challenges faced by the global healthcare community.

Exhibiting companies covered a vast spectrum of sectors, from diagnostics and medical imaging to surgical instruments, digital health, and medical software. The presence of 5,800 exhibitors from across the globe underlined the diversity of innovations and technologies on display. The event served as a launchpad for groundbreaking solutions in fields such as personalized medicine, artificial intelligence, robotic surgery, telemedicine, and advanced medical devices.

Over 90 percent of the professionals who attended the event have decision-making authority, and more than 90 percent expressed satisfaction with their participation.

“This boosts our exhibitors’ business. Overall, the trade fair’s success shows us that the international competition for leadership in medical technology innovation is gaining momentum and, as in other industries, companies from Asia are also heavily involved. In addition to the German companies participating, other national and regional businesses from Europe, China, South Korea, India and, of course, Japan and Taiwan were particularly well represented with top innovations. We are particularly pleased with the large number of exhibitors from the United States, which once again made up almost 10 percent of all exhibitors, with their variety of joint booths, including those representing multiple US states”, explains Christian Grosser, Director Health & Medical Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf.
