MHLW Grants Approval for Thoracic Surgery Use of Medicaroid’s hinotori™

Medicaroid Corporation has announced that it has obtained regulatory approval from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) for utilizing the hinotori Surgical Robot System in thoracic surgery.

The hinotori, a Japanese-made robotic-assisted surgery system, previously received regulatory approval in Japan for urology in August 2020, and for gastroenterology and gynecology in October 2022. Currently, it is operational in various facilities across Japan. This recent approval broadens the hinotori’s scope to encompass thoracic surgery. The hinotori Surgical Robot System will persist in facilitating patient-friendly minimally invasive surgeries.

Through its medical robots, Medicaroid aims to uphold a society where patients, their families, and healthcare professionals can thrive with peace of mind.
