Neupulse Secures £3m Investment to Accelerate Commercial Launch of Tourette’s Therapy Device
Neupulse, a neurotherapeutics business dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for people living with brain health conditions such as Tourette Syndrome, has announced the successful completion of a £3 million funding round.
The investment was led by Eos Advisory and the Midlands Engine Investment Fund II, via appointed fund manager Mercia Ventures, with additional backing from both existing and new investors. The capital will support the expansion of sales activities and accelerate Neupulse’s route to market, advancing product development, regulatory milestones and early-stage commercialisation to ensure its technology reaches those who need it most.
This raise comes at a time when venture and growth capital remains limited, highlighting the strength of Neupulse’s value proposition and the confidence investors place in its mission and delivery. The company’s continued progress reflects increasing demand for clinically validated neurotherapeutic solutions and positions it strongly for its next stage of growth.
Neupulse’s technology is aimed at addressing significant shortcomings in existing treatment pathways, combining scientific robustness with a focus on tangible, real-world outcomes. The new funding enables the business to transition firmly from development to commercial launch in mid-2026, while continuing to build the clinical evidence required by healthcare professionals, regulators and health systems.
In 2024, the company received backing from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund II to complete development of its non-drug therapy designed to help manage symptoms of Tourette’s Syndrome. The £500,000 investment supported ongoing research into the TS therapy wristband device and associated clinical trials.
Eos and Mercia Ventures both have strong track records of supporting high-growth healthcare and deep-tech ventures, offering not only funding but also strategic guidance. Their continued involvement demonstrates a shared conviction in Neupulse’s long-term prospects and its capacity to deliver both commercial success and meaningful clinical impact.
Paul Cable, CEO, Neupulse said: “This investment underlines the unmet need in providing people with conditions like Tourette Syndrome a solution to manage their condition, and as a company, we are driven to improve the lives of individuals with these conditions.”
Ian Rhodes, Chair of the board at Neupulse added: “This is a great example of advanced biomedical research from a leading UK university creating an initial UK market launch during 2026. This will increasingly benefit the UK economy as the technology scales out globally.”
David Tindall, Senior Investment Manager at the British Business Bank said: “Neupulse’s growth over the past year, following investment from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund II, has been impressive. By addressing a clear gap in the market and delivering a much-needed solution for those affected, the business exemplifies the Fund’s commitment to backing ambitious, high-growth companies. This latest round of funding will further support Neupulse in developing and launching new treatment options.”
Andrew McNeill, Investor Director at Eos said: “We are delighted to support the next chapter of Neupulse as they move towards commercialisation. This is exactly the kind of company and science we like to back. Passionate founders and technology with the potential to positively impact the lives of people across the globe.”
Sandy Reid, Fund Principal, Mercia Ventures added: “Tourette Syndrome is believed to affect up to 2% of all children worldwide but currently the only treatments are medication and behavioural therapy, neither of which are ideal solutions. Neupulse’s device offers a genuine alternative that could transform lives.”
The £400 million Midlands Engine Investment Fund II operates across the Midlands region, offering debt finance ranging from £25,000 to £2 million and equity investment of up to £5 million. The fund supports small and medium-sized enterprises looking to launch, expand or maintain a competitive edge. Its core objective is to stimulate sustainable economic growth by fostering innovation and creating local opportunities for emerging and scaling businesses throughout the Midlands.
By broadening the availability and range of early-stage finance for smaller firms, the Midlands Engine Investment Fund II aims to back companies that may otherwise struggle to secure investment and to reduce barriers to accessing capital across the region.
